Alrihkh A very good progressive new age/world album with definite Middle-eastern & Celtic leanings. The songs—especially the last four (for me)—are quite enchanting. The vivid imagery they conjure up in my mind transport me to a natural world yet rich with magic and purer depth of soul. I envy Nickie H. Kelly for having seen them live with L. McKennitt. If you love Secret Sky, be sure to check out Blackmore’s Night.
7.5/10. Favorite track: Alchemy.

Nickie Harte Kelly A collaboration of fine musicians I’ve had the pleasure of hearing for years with Loreena McKennitt. The electric guitar, in particular, is immediately recognizable in Hughes’ signature style and Lavelle’s rich cello and sultry voice are a perfect pairing. Rounding out the sound are violin, drums & percussion, bass, and lyra. This is an epicurean’s blend of world music, with the emphasis on Middle Eastern and Celtic, along with some jazz for complex flavour. Favorite track: Fear a Bhata.
